*IMPORTANT: During the Opening Weekend, only the venue hosting that day's official opening celebration will be open to visitors. From 17 August, both the Chianciano Art Museum and the Historic Centre galleries will be open every evening from 5.30pm to 10.30pm until 29 August 2026.

Discover one of Italy’s leading international contemporary art events at the 9th Chianciano Biennale, taking place from 15 to 29 August 2026 in the heart of Tuscany.

Featuring over 300 artists from more than 50 nations, the Biennale transforms Chianciano Terme into an extraordinary celebration of contemporary art. Exhibitions are presented throughout the picturesque Historic Centre, where 13 galleries host a diverse programme of international artists, as well as at the Chianciano Art Museum, offering 3,000 square metres of exhibition space.

The Biennale opens with a spectacular Opening Weekend Celebration:

  • 15 August – Historic Centre
  • 16 August – Chianciano Art Museum

Two unforgettable evenings of international art, music, wine, local delicacies and celebration mark the opening of the Biennale, followed by two weeks of exhibitions open to the public until 29 August 2026.
